Opening Project

Dive right into the first of many morning group projects. Save an intrepid ski jumper from the jaws of a bear, or keep an earnest parachute designer from breaking his legs, or…?

10:30 - 12:00

The Case for Making

Discuss compelling research that lays out why adopting a critical making mindset benefits students for the future.

12:00 - 1:00

Lunch

BYOLunch, or bring lunch back to our building (from a range of nearby options) and take advantage of our outdoor patio space.

Pedestal Conversation

What is there to say about a piece of crumpled paper?  A lot, apparently.

Station Rotation

 Learn about the breadth of our tool offerings for your use all week.

Workshop Planning

Create your list of must-do sessions for the week, from over 20 options.

The Week's Goals

After immersing yourself in a day's worth of Studio offerings, spend a few minutes setting concrete goals for the week. Share them with a partner and the Studio team to commit to them.

Continue to inhabit the role of a student and experience the key elements of what makes up a Studio project, whether a fifteen minute intro or half-day activity.

Workshops & Open Time

Select from a half-dozen daily workshop sessions, or develop some direction for your personal work. 

3:45 - 4:00

Let It All Sink In

Take a few minutes at the end of the jam-packed day to capture the ideas that the day's activities sparked, focusing on what you hope to carry into your own classroom.

4:00 - 9:00

Open Studio

Workspaces will remain open through the evening for optional usage. Great time for individualized project assistance.
